Organization of International Conference
Concluded organization of International Conference on “recent Advances in Rock Engineering” during November 16-18, 2016 at Bangalore. Around 210 delegates across 30 user industries and academic institutes across 11 countries had attended this conference which had around 90 presentations across seven technical session.
Training program on skill development
Organising a training program on skill development for SECL personnel in the area of rock mechanics investigation. Two batches of employees are to undergo this training in February and March 2017
Training program of controlled blasting
Training program of controlled blasting is scheduled to be organized in June 2017 for the fourth batch of personnel from BRO
S&T projects
55 projects including six S&T projects worth Rs.12 crores are in progress at various stages of investigation.

Other short-term courses for user industries are also being lined up.
