Mr. G Gopinath

Scientist-III 

Mr.G.Gopinath is a Mining Engineer and he is pursuing his PhD from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India. He is well versed with opencast and underground blasting operations and has acquired expertise in the area of controlled blasting. He is having about 20 years’ experience in open cast and construction industries. Prior to joining NIRM, Mr. Gopinath worked in various companies like KIOCL, HCC, L&T and L&T-Hochtief JV in various prestigious projects all over India. Currently he is working as Scientist II in Rock Blasting and Excavation Engineering Department. He has authored/coauthored about 70 technical reports and about 20 technical papers in national and international forums.He has delivered lectures to practicing Mining and Civil Engineers at various forums as an expert faculty in Rock Blasting. He is member of different professional bodies like ISRMTT, AusIMM, MEAI, VisfoTak, TAI etc. He has visited Australia and Bhutan.

Mr. G C Naveen

Scientist-III 

Mr. G C Naveen is currently working as a Scientist in the Department of Rock Blasting and Excavation Engineering, National Institute of Rock Mechanics, India. He has master’s degree in Mining engineering and he has over 10 years of experience in rock blasting and excavation engineering. He has extensively worked in the areas of controlled blasting and Urban blasting projects. He has delivered lectures to practicing Mining and Civil Engineers at various forums as an expert faculty in Rock Blasting.
